Department of Finance’s Office of Revenue and the Department of Information Technology Announces New Online Business Tax Form Renewal Application For City Businesses


The City of Atlanta’s Department of Finance’s Office of Revenue and the Department of Information Technology announces Online Business Tax Renewal for our estimated 23,000 existing businesses.  Effective January 1, 2010, the online registration program will be available to 2010 renewal applicants.  The City began offering online payment solutions for City businesses four years ago. Now businesses can also renew their General Business tax application online by February 15 of each year.


The benefits are:

  • Reduction in application processing time
  • Efficient and secure website renewal process
  • Savings in administrative costs

This new online tax registration program will not apply to new businesses or existing businesses with a physical change of address since zoning approvals are required for these businesses.

Businesses will be able to go to https://web.atlantaga.gov/blis or www.atlantaga.gov and click on Online Services for a menu option. Existing businesses will then just enter their account number and PIN number to begin general business tax renewal process.


This effort was implemented by the Department of Finance-Office of Revenue and the Department of Information Technology.
