City of Atlanta Hosts Press Conference To Announce The Kick-Off of this Tax Season’s Vita Services and EITC Benefits Program

WHAT:

Many families are eligible for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Yet, in Atlanta alone, millions of dollars go unclaimed by eligible families who fail to claim

the EITC. This credit can be obtained through using free tax preparation services at Volunteer Income Tax (VITA) Centers. VITA helps strengthen and stabilize families, which, in turn, strengthens the community EITC dollars have a strong economic impact on the local communities - last year, EITC Prosperity Campaign had an estimated economic impact of over $28 million on the local economy.
