Chief Dennis Rubin has resigned his position as Fire Chief effective April 13, 2007 after over three years of service to the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department.
Deputy Chief Harold D. Miller will assume the position of Interim Fire Chief of the Atlanta Fire Rescue Department, effective April 14, 2007. Chief Miller has been with the department for more than twenty-six years and has extensive knowledge of fire suppression, training and airport operations. Since 1999, he has been assigned to the airport and served as airport commander for the past four years.
