The Department Of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs to Announce First-Ever National Accreditation

WHO:	Mayor Shirley Franklin Dianne Harnell Cohen, Commissioner, Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs
WHAT:	The City of Atlanta Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs has been awarded accreditation status through the National Parks and Recreation Association’s Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) accreditation program.  The CAPRA reviews the best practices of parks and recreation departments’ operations, management and service to the community.
